Build Before You Borrow (“BBYB,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides financial-readiness education, digital courses, learning tools, and related services. Build Before You Borrow is operated by EduPro Enterprises LLC, 117 South Lexington Street, Suite 100, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect account information such as your name, email address, password credentials, and email-verification information; enrollment information; lesson progress, quiz results, completion status, action-step responses, and course submissions; purchase confirmation information; communications you send to us; and information supplied by an organization that purchases or administers student access.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, full bank or payment-card numbers, bank credentials, PINs, passwords, complete account statements, or other unnecessary sensitive financial information through course responses or communications.

Our hosting, authentication, security, and payment systems may automatically process technical information such as IP address, device and browser information, session identifiers, access times, requested pages, and security or diagnostic logs. The site may use limited cookies or similar storage necessary for sign-in, security, and interface preferences.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to create and secure accounts, process purchases, activate enrollment, deliver lessons, save progress, evaluate course work, provide support, administer institutional access, maintain and improve the Services, prevent fraud or misuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Course submissions are not used to provide individualized legal, tax, investment, lending, or credit-repair advice.

3. Payments

Checkout is processed by Stripe. Stripe receives the information necessary to process payment under its own privacy terms. BBYB may receive transaction confirmation, purchaser contact information, payment status, and identifiers needed to match a completed purchase with course access. BBYB does not directly store complete payment-card information.

4. How Information May Be Shared

We may share information as reasonably necessary with service providers supporting hosting, authentication, email delivery, security, data storage, payment processing, and site operations; with a school, program, sponsor, parent, guardian, or purchaser administering learner access; with professional advisers or legal authorities when reasonably necessary; or with a successor organization in a business transaction subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell personal information for money.

5. Teen Users and Children's Privacy

BBYB Teen is intended for learners ages 16 through 18. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and BBYB does not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without legally sufficient authorization. If we learn that this occurred, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us at info@buildbeforeyouborrow.com.

6. Course Submissions and Institutional Access

Learners should use fictional, rounded, or parent-approved examples whenever an activity does not require real information. Where an institution sponsors access, the applicable agreement determines what learner information the institution may receive. BBYB does not promise school-level records, FERPA treatment, integrations, or educator dashboards unless documented in a signed agreement.

7. Data Retention

We retain account, enrollment, progress, transaction-confirmation, and support information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide lifetime course access, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and comply with law. Limited backup, security, or transaction records may be retained after account closure when reasonably necessary.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Services. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for keeping passwords confidential and should contact us if they believe an account has been compromised.

9. Your Choices and Requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account. Some information may be retained for transaction records, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or continued lifetime access. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights. Send requests to info@buildbeforeyouborrow.com with the subject “Privacy Request.”

10. Email Communications

We may send transactional messages necessary for account verification, password resets, purchases, course access, security, and support. Marketing emails will include an appropriate unsubscribe method where required. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential transactional messages.

11. Third-Party Services

The Services may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. BBYB is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or legal requirements change. The revised version will display a new last-updated date. Material changes may also be communicated through the site, account, or email when appropriate.
